Where we got our start in 2013
From a Church Basement to Your Table
It started with two friends hanging out in the kitchen of St. Paul's Memorial Church. We weren't looking to build an empire; we just wanted to make the perfect pizza. One of us brought restaurant experience dating back to 1968, and the other had a serious obsession with quality. Once folks got a taste of what we were cooking, the reaction was always the same: 'Holy smokes, that’s good pizza!' Just like that, a local South Bend staple was born.
Wall-to-wall toppings and massive sides
We believe a 16-inch pizza should be a heavy hitter. We use a crust inspired by world-class dough recipes, our own sweet and savory HSP sauce, and enough mozzarella to make you do a double-take. Whether it’s our wall-to-wall pepperoni or our signature 6-ounce Mozzie Logs, we serve the kind of food we actually want to eat ourselves. You aren't going to find this much heart—or this much cheese—at any corporate chain.

Griddled, Smashed, and Built for Hunger
Our passion for flavor doesn't stop at the oven. We take our signature pizza sausage, hand-roll it, smash it flat on the grill, and load it into our Italian Sausage Subs. If you’re really hungry, the Torpedo features a full half-pound of grilled ground beef designed to handle a serious appetite. From our Skinny Jo Jo Taters to our old-fashioned garlic bread, everything we make uses methods we've spent decades getting exactly right.

We’re proud to call South Bend home and even prouder to support the people here. Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to help out with everything from the Notre Dame women’s basketball awards to the local Boy Scouts and juvenile diabetes research. To us, this isn't just a business; it’s about treating our neighbors like family. Whether you're stopping by after a softball game or grabbing a weekend meal for the family, we're just here to make sure you leave full and happy.
Our latest menu and summer softball hours
We just finished updating our menu and schedule for September 2024. We're currently open for Summer Softball hours on Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We've got our 16-inch specialty pizzas and those famous Mozzie Logs ready for you.

Holy Smokes, Now That’s Real Pizza
From our 16-inch pies loaded with wall-to-wall pepperoni to our hand-rolled Italian sausage subs, we still do things the old-fashioned way because it tastes better. We’ve come a long way since we were cooking out of a church basement, but we haven't changed our signature sweet and savory sauce or our habit of piling on the mozzarella.
